People are strange

So fall has finally arrived, and the crappy part of our house is in full effect. That is the part that comes from having 7 pine trees on our property and at least 7 on neighboring property that pretty much RAIN pine straw this time of year. After work yesterday, Jake and I spent just under 3 hours raking the backyard and bagged 26 lawn bags full of pine straw (and pine cones and dog poop). We put it out on the curb (breaking the rules, trash day isn't until Monday!) and now, in the course of 2 hours, 2 different trucks have stopped in front of my house and loaded up their beds with bags. I find this odd. Jake says people like pine straw for mulch. . . but I say if they like it and want it, they can come rake it up! Anyone willing? The lawn will need raking every week from now to December!
